BACKGROUND: With more than 30 years of experience, Tina is widely recognized in the health care industry. Tina’s experience in the health law practice area includes representation of hospitals, physicians, multi-specialty clinics, home health, nursing home facilities and managed care organizations. Tina regularly counsels’ clients on subjects related to state and federal regulatory compliance, risk management issues, HIPAA, fraud and abuse, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, managed care contracting, EMTALA, conditions of participation, and health care business transactions.

With her masters in tax law, Tina also counsels’ business clients in transactional, tax, corporate, organizational, and regulatory matters. Tina’s experience with business clients includes business structuring, mergers & acquisitions, financing of business entities, venture capital transactions, business owner disputes, and compliance and risk management issues. Tina also provides legal representation for tax exempt organizations, business succession planning, estate planning and asset preservation for physicians and high-net-worth individuals.

An active speaker and writer on health care and tax law topics, Tina regularly presents on topics such as compliance, clinical transformation, operational integration, regulatory issues and guidelines and other related subjects that are redefining healthcare and how it is managed. Tina has presented more than 40 papers and speeches on subjects including "Striking a Balance in Your Personal & Financial Life," "Exit Strategy: Can You Really Retire?," "Mergers and Acquisitions and the Healthcare Arena," "Confidentiality of Medical Records," "Coping with the Medical Malpractice Crisis," "Medicare Modernization: Can it be Understood," "HIPAA: How Far Do We Go," "Concierge Medicine," and "HIPAA - What is it and How Does It Apply to Estate Planning?" Staying relevant in a transforming industry is key to sustainability and the value that Tina offers.

Prior to returning to private practice, Tina served as general counsel to two managed care organizations and as division counsel to a national hospital system. In addition to overseeing the legal divisions for the managed care organizations and hospital system, Tina supervised compliance with federal and state health care programs, developed policies and procedures, initiated and completed complex mergers and acquisitions, and served as an advisor to senior management.

Tina is admitted to practice in Florida and Georgia. Tina is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, the American Bar Association (member of the taxation, real property, probate and trust law, and health law sections), Hillsborough County Bar Association (member of the real property, probate and trust law and health law sections), The Florida Bar (member of the real property, probate, and trust law section), the Georgia Bar, Suncoast Health Care Executives, and Network of Executive Women.

Tina received her Bachelors, summa cum laude, with majors in finance and math. Tina received her law degree and her masters in tax law from Emory University School of Law. Tina was born in Seville, Spain and grew up in Europe before moving to the Unites States. Tina loves traveling and anything outdoors.

Katelyn M. Vinson graduated and received her BA in Political Science from East Tennessee State University in 2011. She graduated law school in August 2015 from Western Michigan University with the honor of Cum Laude. Katelyn has been a member of the Florida Bar since June 2016. Katelyn has focused her practices majorly in consumer bankruptcy debtor work, family law, estate planning, and civil litigation. She is an active member of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association.

Michael Stavros is a recent graduate from the University of Florida Levin College of Law who passed the Florida Bar exam in the summer of 2021 and was sworn in December 20, 2021.

Michael will focus his practice primarily on state and federal litigation, including adversaries.

Before coming to Jennis Morse Etlinger, Michael was a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Michael J. Williamson with the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida (Tampa) and a Judicial Intern for the Honorable Marcia Morales Howard with the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida (Jacksonville).

Andrew Wit is an indefatigable advocate for his clients. He strives to provide zealous, detail-oriented, and personalized services for his clients.

Andrew is a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served in the navigation department of a nuclear-powered submarine in support of special operations and land attack missions critical to the safety of the United States and its allies.

Prior to joining Jennis Law, Andrew worked in the bankruptcy department of an AmLaw 200 law firm where he gained experience litigating highly contentious bankruptcy and other commercial disputes throughout the United States. Thereafter, Andrew formed Wit Law, PLLC and focused his practice on business law, bankruptcy, and complex litigation. Andrew’s experience consists of representing bankruptcy trustees, victims of ponzi schemes, debtors, secured and unsecured creditors, and prosecuting and defending fraudulent transfer actions. From his employment during and after law school, Andrew also gained experience in auto accident, premises liability, and medical malpractice matters.

During law school, Andrew served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Catherine Peek McEwen in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Florida. Andrew also served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Susan C. Bucklew, Honorable William F. Jung, and Honorable Julie S. Sneed in the United States District Court for the Middle District of Florida. These experiences provided Andrew with critical insight into the operations of federal courts.

Andrew lives in Seminole Heights and is active within his community. When he isn’t working, Andrew is an avid golfer, wine collector, and enjoys exploring Tampa Bay with his golden retrievers, Colby and Hurley.
